The event
The event runs on the single best day of the window — the day the Strait delivers heavy wind and real swell together. The permits are being written so the window can extend into April if March does not deliver.
Who runs the event
The market you want, on one beach
Tarifa sits in Cádiz, at the southern tip of Andalusia — Spain’s most populous region and one of Europe’s biggest tourism markets. One day of competition puts Cabreiroá in front of the people who live there and the millions who visit.

Your bottle already flies a kite
Limited edition proposed as an option, produced at Cabreiroá’s discretion. The event supplies artwork, footage and access to the riders.
The 78-hour call
The event is announced in two stages, so riders, crew and partners can commit with certainty.

Judging you can measure
The event runs on TotalScore, our own scoring platform. Sensor data sits next to the judging panel, and every score reaches the audience the moment it is given — on the beach screen and in the broadcast.
TotalScore (totalscore.pro) is developed in-house and already runs GKA competition formats, including the new freestyle format and the event countdown system.

How Cabreiroá reaches the south
What this same team generated from Valdevaqueros, Tarifa, in one week of September 2025 — the baseline for 2027.
Run on solar, not diesel
At Valdevaqueros 2025 we replaced the diesel generator with a solar and battery system, and rebuilt the logistics around it. That set-up is the baseline for 2027.
More than 400 sports organisations have committed to halving their emissions before 2030 under the UN Sports for Climate Action framework. This is one of the few competitions that can already show the numbers.
